Which table suits you?

  • Dining Tables - The centerpiece of your dining room. Choose extendable for flexible guest seating.
  • Coffee Tables - Low, practical, and define the seating area. Round for easy movement, rectangular for long sofas.

  • Sidetables - Narrow and tall against the wall in a hallway or behind the sofa.
  • Bar Tables - Ideal for a kitchen island or high dining area. Combine with bar stools.

Materials and shapes

Solid wood and veneer add warmth and character. HPL or ceramic are extra scratch- and stain-resistant. Glass looks airy. Choose the shape that fits your space: round for small rooms and easy movement, oval or Danish oval for soft lines and more seating, rectangular for maximum length. A pedestal base provides legroom, while a U- or X-frame looks robust.

Size and layout

  • Allow 60 cm per person on the long side for comfortable seating.
  • Leave 90 cm clear behind chairs for pulling them out and passing.
  • Standard table height is 74–76 cm. Maintain 27–32 cm between the chair seat and the tabletop. See matching chairs at chairs.

Seating per size

  • Round - Ø110–120 cm: 4 people • Ø130–140 cm: 6 people • Ø150–160 cm: 6–8 people.
  • Rectangular - 160×90 cm: 4–6 • 180×90 cm: 6 • 200×100 cm: 6–8 • 220×100 cm: 8.
  • Oval - similar to rectangular, with smoother movement around the corners.

Styling and lighting

Hang the lamp 60–75 cm above the tabletop for pleasant light without glare. Work in layers: main light, pendant above the table, and accent lighting on the sideboard. Finish with a bowl, vase, or candles. Find extra ambiance at wall decoration.

Maintenance

  • Wood/veneer - Use coasters, wipe damply, and dry immediately. Periodically re-treat as advised.
  • HPL/ceramic - Stain-resistant, clean with a soft cloth and mild agent.
  • Glass - Microfiber and glass cleaner, do not spray on edges to prevent seepage.

What size dining table do I need for 6 people?

Allow 60 cm per person. For 6 people, 180×90 cm or Ø130–140 cm is a good size, depending on shape and chairs.

Which table shape is practical for a smaller space?

Round or oval tables provide more movement and no sharp corners. A pedestal base offers extra legroom.

How high should I hang the lamp above the table?

Usually between 60 and 75 cm from the tabletop. Adjust based on lamp shape, height of residents, and type of light source.
